Custom File Sets
Custom file sets may now be purchased by those who do not wish to
take advantage of the low per file cost when purchasing complete
CD sets. All that is necessary is to send an e-mail attachment to
me with the roll numbers of the desired files. Be sure to specify
the file type you need or tell me how you plan to use the files
and I'll choose the best type. Instructions for two suggested methods
of generating a suitable list follow. It is essential that the number
lists are accurate as the file copying is done automatically by
computer and it will only do what it is told. The best method is
the Excel method but there is an alternate method for those who
do not use Excel.
Excel
Method:
Download the excel listing from the download
page under file listings for all cds. Choose the link that says:
Click here for Excel Listing of All Titles Available: To
save the file for future use, right click the link and select the
option to "save target as" and choose a saving
location. Open
the file with Excel or another program that will read excel files.
Put a mark of any kind in the wanted column for the files you want.
You can sort the list any way you want to make it easy to find the
files you want. For example, you can sort by composer if you want
all the Albeniz. Then save the modified file and send it to me as
an attachment to e-mail. If you are familiar with the use of Excel
and want to save on upload time, you can copy just the part that
has the checked files instead of sending the whole original list.
Be sure to specify the file type you need or tell me how you plan
to use the files and I'll choose the best type.
List Method
If you do not wish to use the Excel method you can send a list
of the file numbers you want, exactly as they appear in the PDF
file or tab delimited text file. Download the PDF listing from the
download page. Choose the link
that says: Click here for PDF Listing of All Titles Available. To
save the file for future use, right click the link and select the
option to "save target as" and choose a saving
location. Make
a list of the roll numbers exactly as they appear in the PDF file.
You need to include the ~ and list them continuously with no extraneous
characters as in the following list ~0234br~0235br~0236br~713123~5555s
(You may also use the tab delimited text file as a source for the
roll numbers. Its link is just below the PDF link.) Please send
the list as an attachment to an e-mail and not in the body of the
e-mail itself.
Be sure to specify the file type you need or tell me how you plan
to use the files and I'll choose the best type.
