Ampico, Duo-Art and Welte (Licensee) piano roll emulations in native LX format are now available. There is no better way to enjoy this music than listening to it on your LX piano. Selections on these CDs represent the best of the Ampico and Welte (Licensee) music from the 1920s through the early 1940s. This was the heyday of popular music in America and also a high point for classical performance. Each CD contains many hours of continuous music in MP3 format. Most CD players will play these discs. MP3 files may be copied to a computer for playing with Itunes. CDs will be mailed once payment is recieved. Prices include shipping worldwide by US Postal Service. See the links below to download 30 second samples of every title on each CD. These may be burned to CD or played with Itunes. Please be sure you have the latest firmware installed in your LX system to insure the best possible reproduction.
For a limited time all orders will include a free CD * containing the complete Yamaha E-Competition repetoire. This set includes all 1340 performances from the 2002, 2004 2006, 2008 and 2009 Minnesota E-Competition in Hi resolution MIDI format along with a program (Mid2PianoCD by Mark Fontana) for converting to native LX MP3 files (with ID3v2 text tags)on your computer. These files are available for free from the Yamaha E-Competition site in MIDI format. You can download then yourself, expand the zip files, convert them to LX format copy the performance information, reformat it, correct errors and encode the indivicual files, (this takes about 40 hours if you have the necessary computer skills and programming ability) or you can get the whole set of 1340 files for free with any purchase. *
Music may also be downloaded via the internet. After payment, is recieved, a link will be provided in E-mail along with a user name and password. After downloading the "Share File" unzip it and consult the "readme" file.

LX Music CDs Native LX format, the best for your LX Piano Please note that I have chosen to encode music wtih a wide dynamic range. This is because the LX has a fine volume control which allows youto turn the loudness down while retaining the dynamac structure. However you cannot turn the volume above the encoded level. These files therefore allow you to play as loud dance or concert music or soft background or anywhere in between . Please condsider this when listening to the samples and use your remote control up and down arrows to adjust loudness if you feel it is necessary.
